Teeth stain. It's an unpleasant fact. The food we eat and our daily habits will stain the dentin of our teeth. However, everybody wants a beautiful smile. That's why the Body Bar offers a great cosmetic teeth whitening service. It is a self-administered service that takes 30 minutes for results that last 4-6 months!
We also offer at-home whitening kits for sale.
How does it work?
Our prefilled tray teeth whitening system works by placing a one-size-fits-all mouth tray in the customer’s mouth. The customer then bites down on the tray, and the L.E.D. light is shined on the tray, activating the carbamide peroxide and accelerating the whitening process.
Is it safe?
Yes. Research has proven that, if the customer’s teeth are in normal, healthy condition, there are no adverse side effects associated with any of the products used. The whitening gels do not damage enamel and only affect the color of the dentin. However, individuals with tooth decay or other damage should avoid any teeth whitening treatments until they seek professional dental assistance and advice.
The Body Bar does not employ dentists and cannot diagnose oral or dental disorders. As a precaution, women who are pregnant or suspect that they may be pregnant should not book a teeth whitening appointment.
Who benefits from the whitening service?
Almost anyone can enjoy the benefits! If you’re an adult with otherwise healthy teeth and gums, and you want a brighter smile, you can benefit from the teeth whitening service. Individuals under the age of 18 should not use our whitening products.
What causes discoloration?
Discoloration occurs with age, but your teeth are also affected by exposure to coffee, tea, wine, other dark beverages, smoking, dark-colored foods, and other staining agents. Think of it this way: if it can stain a white T-shirt, it will eventually stain your teeth. You can prevent staining with a few whitening sessions and by carrying one of our maintenance products with you wherever you go.
Cosmetic teeth whitening is not effective if the yellowing of your teeth is caused by oral medications you are taking, or if you are genetically predisposed to a more yellow shade of teeth.
Are there any side effects?
No serious adverse side effects are associated with our whitening products. Some people do experience blanching of the gum line, a mild tingling sensation, or sensitivity, all of which typically last no more than 24 hours and can be alleviated by applying aloe and vitamin E oil to the teeth and/or gums.
How long before customers can eat or drink teeth staining foods and drinks after their session?
We recommend avoiding coffee, tea, red wine, berries, candy, red sauces, and other teeth-staining foods and beverages for the first 12 hours following your session.
